Defensive Handgunning: Pistol Tactics Inc. and MiCPL.net Style
Not often considered to be the preferred defensive weapon system; handguns,
can be the best and often the only weapon system available at the time the fight comes to the operator. All
things considered; if we as operators, knew we were about to enter a combat situation; not only would our weapon system be
different; we would likely choose to overwhelm our adversary with numbers. Since it is not practical to arm with rifles or
shotguns for daily life, or to enter daily life in platoon strength, we should know how to defend ourselves safely, effectively
and efficiently with a handgun weapon system. Others offer courses that are marketed as being “tactical”
classes; this is because course designers use a play on words to imply something “elitist” about their instruction
or the skills presented. We advocate and instruct that handguns be used to defend one's self; thus,
we declare our courses to be “Defensive Handgun” courses that are designed to build upon one another over time.
