Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

-Thomas Jefferson, quoting Cesare Beccaria-

I wanted to personally thank You, Rick, Garry, and Kay for teaching the class. If you could let the others know that I Thank them all for being patient with me. You guys were very helpful in the class as well as on the offsite location. I was very nervous on the field. I felt very ignorant and I expected more out of myself. I really appreciated the guidance and support. I was not sure of myself in what I was doing. And I was feeling embarrassed when I messed up and wasn't doing things correctly. I hate when I don't get things right. And this is not the kind of thing I want to mess up.

I get the impression that women tend to want to stay clear of this sort of thing, but as a woman myself, you got to ask yourself 'Woman to Woman', "If you had the chance to become EDUCATED about something like this, having this information can only Help You, NOT HURT YOU!" And getting the information from 'Professional Instructors' and not just hearsay from various individuals is the smartest way to go.

In this crazy world we live in, we can't depend, expect, or assume others know what they are doing, and this world is only going to get more unpredictable. And if there ever was a question in my mind that I could have protected a loved one, (my husband, children, or any other family member) from harm, and I didn't because I was not informed or too scared to learn, I personally, couldn't live with the regret that "I" could have prevented the worst from happening, and I just chose not to. It's not about being selfish here, it's about being the best person I can be!

Bottom Line, it's a choice you have to make, to want to learn. Think it over. Be Educated. This is a LAST Resort kind of thing. No one says you will EVER have to do this in your lifetime, but what if?

- What if you needed to know and chose not to at least learn, and something happened... Could you live with the regret?

To Kay: Thanks for taking the time with me, you were very kind and thoughtful. You were so sweet to me, you were like the mother I wished I had. Thank You!

Thanks Again and Take Care,

Gracie
